Test Environment For Perl Opens

Perl programmers, get ready - at least in a figurative sense - to break out your beakers and put on your rubber gloves, aprons, and goggles. The Comprehensive Perl Archive Network (CPAN) Testing Laboratory is good to go.
Adam Kennedy recently wrote in a use Perl journal entry, "After 6 months working through legal and technical hurdles with Microsoft Australia and their hosting partner Emantra, and a month of beta testing, I'm happy to report that the CPAN Testing Laboratory is now open for general access."
This means that CPAN authors can experiment with virtual versions of Windows XP Professional, Windows Server 2003 32-bit, Windows Server 2003 64-bit, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, Windows Server 2008 32-bit, Windows Server 2006 64-bit, and Windows 7 Beta, regardless of what sort of hardware they've actually got on hand.
If you'd like to get involved, it's quite easy, too. Kennedy explained, "I've set up a specific #msopensource channel on irc.perl.org to help authors coordinate their usage of the different machines and for administration purposes. If you would like a login to the testing lab, you can either join the channel [or] (If I'm not there) email me via my adamk@cpan address."
